
Temesgen Mekonnen is the Senior Partner and Co-founder of Innova Health Consultancy, where he oversees a diverse portfolio of healthcare transformation projects across Ethiopia. At Innova, he plays a critical leadership role in shaping project strategy, managing high-level stakeholder engagement, and guiding implementation efforts. His extensive background working with international NGOs—such as I-TECH and CIRHT—has positioned him as a trusted advisor to the Ministry of Health, Addis Ababa Health Bureau, and other public health sectors, enabling effective collaboration on national initiatives and system-wide reforms. Previously, Temesgen served as Vice Provost for Business and Development at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College, one of Ethiopia’s premier medical institutions. In this role, he led the development of enterprise strategies to enhance financial sustainability, improve institutional efficiency, and elevate service delivery. He successfully mobilized funding from key development partners and played a central role in transforming SPHMMC into a more autonomous and innovative healthcare and academic institution. His leadership reflects a deep, practical understanding of Ethiopia’s health and financial sectors.
