Dr. Robel Tedla Alemu is an MD, Instructional Designer, Jasiri Fellow, Founder, and EdTech Consultant with five years of experience in education, technology integration, and business development. Dr. Robel Tedla, a St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College graduate with distinction (2019), served as Education Program Coordinator from Oct 2022 to Mar 2024. He launched an LMS for CPD training, developed eCourses, administered the platform, and supported 300+ postgraduate students. He also consulted for the Ministry of Health, developing and delivering digital learning projects and training professionals in Andragogy, Training Facilitation, eLearning Design, Communication, Moodle, and PowerPoint. While pursuing his Masters in Health Professionals Education, Dr. Robel pivoted into EdTech, co-founding One Step Consult. There, he developed bespoke eLearning content and successfully launched One Step Academy, a CPD-certified platform. This platform trained over 1,500 professionals within six months through weekly webinars and e-courses, showcasing significant market impact. As a Jasiri Fellow, he developed skills in problem and solution analysis, system mapping, and business model development, propelling his business venture. Dr. Robel is based in Kigali, Rwanda, where he is a Learning Solutions Lead for Kurricula, a UK and US-based eLearning firm. He also consults within the local EdTech ecosystem, identifying issues in Education and Healthcare and exploring EdTech solutions.
